Diets: Why They Don’t Work For Everyone II

tape, fork, diet

Part Two

How to start and stay on track of your health without dieting.

I am going to explain why I use to make all of those mistakes;  We all struggle with daily life circumstances these are normal. One of the most important ways to start is to figure out how to help ourselves by overcoming our problems. You hear me say that correct there are problems and like any other problem this ones also have solutions and I am here to tell you how I did it. In  Hopes that my mistakes help you start your new health journey. First get a notebook  and begin by writing down the following; breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. Also taking into consideration what you drink, and why do you drink that particular beverage, how much water you consume during the day if any ( do not feel bad if you don’t drink lots of water; you will get there).

The next thing is to understand the times of the day you are eating.By eating at a specific time everyday helps, because it helps the metabolism in our bodies to stay regular which is important, eating out the same times as much as you can will have plenty of benefits; such as reducing bloating , help in case you have IBS, and constipations to mention some of the issues. We need to re-teach our body how to be healthy again, I am not saying to stop eating any foods, I will never say that ( unless your doctor recommends a specific diets as I have mention before) I believe that our bodies need all types of food in moderation.

Learning how to eat is an important part of a healthy body together with exercising it can bring high blood pressure back to normal, decrease kidney failure, help to reduce the risk of getting diabetes among other benefitsThe next thing you need to do is find out how many hours a day you sleep. I know is hard to get a good night sleep, specially if you are a parent, nurse, or just simply have lots to do because of work and daily life. Learning our sleeping patterns is beneficial not only for getting a good night of well deserve sleep, but also because by resting is beneficial for our health.

Getting a good night sleep will help to increase productivity, not only on our workforce but also in our fitness life ( if that is one of the goals) sleeping also help us, to reduce mood swings, tiredness, among other things. Also is important to keep track in a chart ( or an app ) that it’s weekly. In these chart you will need to write what you do during the day, ex.. work-what time do you get up, go to sleep and by when you need to be at work. How many other activities you need to complete during the day, deadlines, among others things you need to do.

Here it’s how I do it; honestly it was hard for me to keep track mostly because I run around all day like a crazy chicken. I begin by taking small notes and using Siri, telling her to write on my notes what I ate that day and how much water I drink. Than slowly I was adding more things I was doing through the day. The hardest ones for me was to keep track of my sleep. I work mostly when everyone goes to bed, because with two kids, the pets and hubby I am busy all day. So sleeping on time it’s not one of my strengths, I started to use an app to track my food that I was recommended by my doctor it help me to be organize, but it was a stroll and I didn’t like it much.

At the end of the day I continued to use the app until it became a habit and I learned to not need it and track my personal day just by logging on my planner appointments among other things and I am happy to say that now I can handle my day a lot better, I have ups and downs. It’s not easy to always stay on track, but I am telling you we can all build good habits and get rid of the bad ones. Having habits it’s not a bad a thing, they helps us by keeping us in track. Life comes at us fast and the more we can to keep it on track it’s always beneficial for everyone.
