Volunteering My Way of Saying Thank You.

Why is it important to volunteer in my children’s school?

Hi, today we are focusing on why it is important to volunteer our time in our children’s school. It’s my perspective and if you are reading this and thinking well I work, I don’t have time for volunteering. No one is judging you, I volunteer for those that can’t. I am a stay at home mom this is what allows me to adjust time for volunteering. Please do not feel bad! Here I will tell you what I do and what I know about volunteering at our children’s school(s).

The awesome

Part is that there are many ways to volunteer, from cutting/tracing the activities at your own home. To sending donations; this could be monetary or with school supplies. This helps teachers to not spend their own money to provide for their class. Which ever way that makes sense to you and your family. There are different ways to be involved. Even when you don’t have time like the PTA moms ( that other moms can’t stand lol).

Let me explain

Why it is important to volunteer. For me is that I get to see my children, how they work in a different at their school seeing them makes my heart happy. My kids also enjoy seeing me at their school. As for the teachers they love having parents that will help them with whatever the parent can. Think about how much time you save that teacher, they can leave early to see their family too. All because you did these simple task for the teachers to focus on our children and help them be successful.

First of all

In case you didn’t know teachers come early to school to set everything up for our children. They are the first ones to arrived and the last ones to leave school. On top of that they come to school to get their classrooms ready for the new school year while we are still on vacation. Is hard for our teachers to work those extra hours. Our amazing teachers work out of passion. Keep this in mind next time you think of that extra set of pencils the teacher asked your son/daughter for. Remember that teaching for them is not a job is calling, a passion. Their pay is not even close to what they give. These is why I give my time to the school.

Another way you can help a teacher in your child’s school.

Is by sending an email to the teacher, asking if there is anything that they might need in their classroom. It can be pencils, paper or snacks. When we as parent don’t cooperate wiht our kids school we cannot expect our teachers to give their 100% to the class. These supplies are extremely important. When we provide it helps the teacher from spending money out of their pockets. I enjoy volunteering because, I believe that parent support for our teachers goes a long way.

What else can you do for a teacher.

If is within your budget provide a teacher with a gift card to their favorite restaurant. Instead of a mug, candies or such. I believe that teachers can benefit more from a gift card than any other present, due to not making a big salary.
To conclude with this today. I truly enjoy volunteering. Please keep in mind what you can and can’t do. Do not feel that you’re doing less, than any other parents for not volunteering. Please remember teachers are great. You probably had a teacher that believe in you and encourage you to keep working towards your dreams.

Thanks for reading.
